Q: Do you have a life purpose? Do you think there even is such a thing?

A: i've thought on this before. i think a life purpose is what you make it. i don't believe that each person was put here by god to do one specific thing with their life. i believe that as you live your life, you discover your own purpose, and that ...purpose is never static. it's always subject to change as you develop your identity and your self and you grow as an individual. each person interprets the purpose of their own life in a different way than every other person. personally, at this juncture of my life, i believe my purpose is to find my own nirvana. i quote the song, "the tide" by the spill canvas. "heaven's not a place where you go when you die, it's that moment in life when you actually feel alive. so live for that moment." and i'm a firm believer in that. i'm living for those moments where i can just sit back, completely and fully content and happy with my life, where there is not one thing i would change. I think we live to accumulate those moments, that pure serene happiness. they are the moments where you just take everything in and appreciate your life and the beauty of living. "i swear in that moment, we were infinite." so i do have a purpose. it's to be happy, to feel alive. that's the ultimate goal.
